Nicole Corbett (she/her)
I'm a White, cisgender woman who grew up in multiple states. I have come to therapy through a non-traditional path. As a shamanic practitioner for more than 20 years, I have a strong foundation in a spiritual/intuitive approach to working with clients. I enjoy incorporating a holistic approach that combines all aspects of body, mind, and spirit.
I earned my BA from Evergreen State College in 2013, my hypnotherapy certification in 2019 from Northwest Hypnosis Institute, and my MSW from Walden University in November 2025. Meeting clients where they are, I integrate Eastern, Western, and/or traditional healing practices. I specialize in helping with patterns that come from the 'wounded child' and early traumatic experiences to help individuals reach their goals for personal growth. Areas of focus include depression, anxiety, PTSD, self-esteem, coping skills, trauma, and spiritual awakening.
So much of what drives us as humans comes from deeply held pain, trauma, and beliefs held in the body and the unconscious mind. It is important to understand that lower-case 't' trauma and capital-T trauma have lasting impacts that create patterns that are hard to change. We may be cognitively aware of the pattern and even know its source, but that's not always enough to create change. We beat ourselves up over not being able to change without understanding the way these patterns are ingrained in the architecture of the brain.
I work with adult individuals by using somatic, or body-based, processes and mindfulness to access deeply held emotions and beliefs. Utilizing evidence-based interventions such as Brainspotting, hypnosis, Internal Family Systems, Hakomi, and Polyvagal Theory, I support clients in healing and releasing ingrained patterns and embracing their full selves.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, spending time outdoors, drumming and rattling, crafting, and connecting with Spirit.
